Craig Ustler | Phil Rampy | Dana Tew Lichty Craig Ustler: Craig T. Ustler, MAI, CCIM is the President and broker of record for CondoHQ Orlando, LLC and a principal of CitiSpace Orlando, a commercial real estate brokerage. Ustler is the owner and President of Ustler Development, Inc., which is a full service real estate development company, and Vice-President of Ustler Properties, Inc., a real estate brokerage company. He is an owner, investor, developer, and broker of various property types including single-family residential, multi-family residential, office, office park, free-standing retail, and mixed-use. Ustler also has extensive experience in land sales, land planning, and highest and best use analysis. For the past several years, Ustler has focused on urban infill projects as advocated by the “new urbanism” planning movement. In particular, recent projects have been concentrated in downtown Orlando neighborhoods including the Central Business District, Thornton Park, Delaney Park, Lake Eola Heights, Colonialtown and College Park. Quality of life issues and a focus on urban design are trademarks of Ustler projects. Notable developments include Thornton Park Central, Eola South, Osceola Brownstones, 801 North Orange and East on Park. These projects represent over $120 million in development activity. Ustler is President and a principal of Urban Life Management Restaurant Group. This entity owns and operates HUE Restaurant, Central City Market and Urban Life Management Special Events located at Thornton Park Central and Citrus Restaurant at the 801 North Orange building in Downtown Orlando. Additionally, Urban Life Management Restaurant Group is a part owner of Kres Chophouse. Urban Life Management Restaurant Group has been widely recognized as an award-winning restaurant owner and manager credited with reviving the downtown Orlando dining scene. Annual sales exceed $9 million. Ustler holds the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute and the CCIM designation from the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute. His educational background includes a Master of Real Estate and Urban Analysis from the University of Florida and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, with a major in Urban Economics and a minor in Business Administration, from the University of Florida. Ustler is a Licensed Real Estate Broker, having been a Realtor for 20 years, and a State-Certified General Appraiser, for 16 years. Ustler has served on the board of the Downtown Orlando Partnership, Downtown Arts District and City of Orlando Board of Zoning Adjustment. Other professional involvement includes the Urban Land Institute, International Downtown Association, Congress for the New Urbanism, Seaside Institute, International Council of Shopping Centers, Central Florida Commercial Real Estate Society, and Leadership Orlando. Ustler is a noted speaker and educator through the Urban land Institute and University of Miami School of Architecture. Ustler has received numerous awards and recognition for business excellence and community involvement including Orlando Magazine’s “Best Realtor in Orlando” in 2002; “Downtowner of the Year” by the Downtown Orlando Partnership in 2002; Orlando Business Journal’s “100 Most Influential People” in Orlando in 2002 and 2003; Orlando Magazine’s “50 Most Powerful People in Orlando” from 2004-2006; Orlando Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” in 2005; Orlando Magazine’s “Real Estates Best – The Hot 100” in 2006 and 2007; and Orlando Magazine’s “Best Corporate Citizen” and “Local Hero” in 2006. Ustler is active in several community organizations. He is the founder and past president of the Downtown Orlando Foundation and has served on the board of the Historical Society of Central Florida. Other involvement includes Junior Achievement of Central Florida, Central Florida Theater Alliance and A Gift for Teaching. Ustler is a third-generation Orlando resident. |
